- What are the advantages of working part-time?
- Part-time is an opportunity for you to keep your current job and work some extra shifts on the side. It's a great way to try out healthcare staffing. If you enjoy the higher pay rate with no benefits, you can also work as an associate employee and be placed in full-time or part-time assignments.
- How much do you charge for placement?
- Our staffing services are at no cost to the candidate.
- What is the possibility that I will receive the assignment that I want?
- Your possibilities are excellent. If we do not currently have a specific assignment in the location of your choice, we will contact our clients in that area, present your credentials and search for assignments.
- If I am on assignment with RepuStaff and I don't like my assignment, am I obligated to stay?
- You are obligated to the facility and to us to complete your assignment. Beyond the terms of each contract, the choice to continue traveling is solely up to you. If you are unhappy in an assignment, your recruiter will be glad to work with you and the facility to address issues that are contributing to your lack of satisfaction. We will strive to make your assignment an enjoyable experience!
- Am I covered by malpractice insurance?
- Yes. RepuStaff provides malpractice insurance when you work in an assignment through us.

- How do I work out my taxes at the end of the year?
- RepuStaff, as your employer, withholds your taxes. At the end of the year, you will receive a W-2 from every state in which you have worked.
- What are the minimum requirements?
- You must be a graduate of an accredited allied healthcare program, have a minimum of one (1) year relevant experience, hold a valid professional practice license or certification and present proof of the right to work in the United States.
- By applying on-line, am I committing to take assignments?
- No. Your application and skills checklist must be completed in order for us to search for appropriate assignments.
- Do you offer referral bonuses?
- Yes. More candidates come to us through referrals from friends and colleagues than from any other recruiting source. You can receive a referral bonus for sending allied health professionals to RepuStaff. Once your referral has worked 90 days or 520 hours, you will be eligible for the bonus. Please contact one of our recruiters for more information.
- What are the lengths of RepuStaff assignments?
- RepuStaff is flexible to meet your needs. We understand that there are situations when you may not need a contractor or traveler for 13 weeks, so we are able to offer you the following options:
- Travelers - allied health professionals for 8-52 week contracts.
- Local Contractors - allied health professionals for 4-52 week assignments.
- PRN assignments - allied health professionals that can work one day or weekly assignments.
- Can an assignment be extended?
- Yes. Our candidates prefer to be extended in their current assignments if possible. We can extend the assignment for the length of time that meets your needs.
- Do you provide your allied healthcare professionals with workers compensation and liability insurance?
- RepuStaff provides all of its contractors, and travelers with both workers comp and liability insurance. We have the maximum coverage necessary for our company.
- What happens if one of your staff is not performing to our standards?
- RepuStaff will find a replacement for staff not meeting performance standards at no extra charge to the customer.
- What do I need to do to apply for an H-1B visa or green card?
- If you are a PT, you must submit for credential evaluation to the Foreign Credentialing Commission of Physical Therapy (FCCPT) or International Consultants of Delaware (ICDEL). Once approved, you must arrange a visa to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) at one of the US testing sites. You must also pass the Test of English as a Foreign language (TOEFL). FCCPT will then issue a visa screen certificate.
If you are an OT, you must submit for credential evaluation to the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Once approved, you must arrange for a visa to take the state board examination at an authorized NBCOT testing site. You must also pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). NBCOT will then issue a visa screen certificate.
- How long does the process take?
- H1-B via petitions typically take 3-6 months to process and the green card 6-12 months.
- Do I need a license for each state I take an assignment in?
- You need a license for every state in which you work (unless otherwise stated by the licensing body of your specialty). Every state has different requirements. We try to make the process as simple as possible. Remember, your recruiter will assist you every step of the way.
- If I am working in a new state, who is responsible for obtaining my license?
- Your recruiter can give you the contact information of every licensing board or you can find it on our web site. Ultimately, the responsibility for obtaining the new state licensure is yours.
